2011 Scholarship Winners

The first place winner of our 2011 "Voices of Tomorrow" scholarship was Nicholas J. Mariani, of Tully, who will study music education at Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam. He received $500.  Nicholas was also able to join the Chorale for our Broadway themed Cabaret performances, including singing a solo.


The second place scholarship winner was SooHyun Jo, of Manlius, who will study music, voice and biological sciences at Boston University. She received $250.

Katherine Ball 

First Place 2010 "Voices of Tomorrow" Scholarship

Katherine Ball, the recipient of our First Place 2010 “Voices of Tomorrow” Scholarship, graduated from Cazenovia High School in June with a Regents Advanced Designation with Honors. Katherine was 9th in her class of 127 seniors. 

Throughout her high school years, Katherine has demonstrated her passion for music by participating in countless music offerings, both in and out of school.  Besides being a very talented singer & actor, Katherine has expanded her interests to include other Arts as well. In the past she pursued dance including jazz, ballet & tap and continues to use the skills she learned in dance classes on stage.  Throughout her high school years she has been a percussionist in Cazenovia High’s Concert Band. As an upperclassman she was a select member of her school’s Jazz Band. 

With such a love for her hometown community and the Arts, Katherine chose Syracuse University for her higher education.  She joined other talented classmates at the College of Visual & Performing Arts, Setnor School of Music where she majored in Vocal Performance & Music Education.  

2010 Second Place Scholarship Winner

Erin Reppenhagen 

Second Place 2010 "Voices of Tomorrow" Scholarship

Erin Reppenhagen,  the recipient of our Second Place 2010 “Voices of Tomorrow” Scholarship, came with high recommendation from both her choral music instructor and the Superintendent of Tully Schools.  


Erin’s choral instructor described her as a “symbol of strong musicianship and good patronage,” and further added “It is rare that a small district like Tully comes across such talent and potential for greatness.”  

With all her talent, it is not surprising to learn that Erin was accepted into The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. There she will continue her studies in Music Education and according to those already in the profession, she is sure to become an exemplary teacher! 

2009 Scholarship Winners

Meghan Burns, First Place 2009 Voices of Tomorrow Scholarship

Meghan Burns, the recipient of our First Place 2009 “Voices of Tomorrow” Scholarship, graduated from West Genesee High School in June 2009 with high honors. 

It is not surprising to hear that Meghan has been accepted to Cornell University where she will continue pursuing her interest in music, as well as English and Public Relations. 

Emily Ball, Second Place 2009 Voices of Tomorrow Scholarship

Emily Ball, the recipient of our Second Place 2009 “Voices of Tomorrow” Scholarship, came with high recommendation from her high school music instructor.   Emily graduated 12th in her class of 470 seniors at West Genesee High School. 

With encouragement from her high school music instructor, Emily has chosen to pursue a career in teaching.  She is planning on attending Ithaca College in the fall where she will continue her studies in Music Education and Performance.
